Her considerable expertise and love of children dentistry are readily apparent and she is beloved by all of her young patients. Her uncanny ability to make the children in her care feel safe and fear-free makes her a favorite of their grateful parents as well! With Dr. Izquierdo, children look forward to visiting the dentist, and many have even expressed a desire to follow in her footsteps and become dentists themselves. Dr. Izquierdo was born in Chicago and raised in Bogota, Colombia. She received her dental degree from the “Universidad Javeriana” in Bogota, completing a five- year program with honors. Knowing she wanted to work in pediatric dentistry, she continued her education, earning a Master of Science Degree in Orthodontics. Dr. Izquierdo returned to the United States for additional training and certification at the University of Florida College of Dentistry, one of the top ten dental schools in the country. While enrolled in the University of Florida’s dental program, Dr. Izquierdo was named 2002’s “Outstanding Student.” After completing her training, Dr. Izquierdo moved to Weston and established her practice in 2004. She has been treating children from age 2 up ever since.
